In the days of the "Google dance," updates often occurred around holidays (Christmas, Easter, you name it). It stands to reason that Google would save major refreshes for times when Web traffic is down and fewer people are using Web searches for work or study. (Let's not lose sight of Google's stated corporate mission, which is about supplying information to users, not helping us to make money.)
Why on earth would google do a data refresh right in the freaking middle of the holiday shopping season. Our sales this month are down 20%....
