Imagine: A half dozen "Themed" portal pages like that (Google College, Google Work, Google Home, Google Teen, Google Kids), but leaving the main page the same old simple search box it is now. That way, they can have the best of both worlds. Customizable "Portal" pages like Yahell or Mushy Soft NeuronsTM, for those who want it, but leave the main page the simple-steady that made google popular in the first place.
You know, I can see Google taking that concept further.
