I should have been more specific in my initial post. I'm fighting for serp positions with PR7 wiki articles that aren't even finished + wiki doorway pages, and doing a quick search of the google serp results, I am definitely not the only one. While admittedly there is definitely some good information on wiki, there is also a tremendous amount of high ranking crap. I hardly see anything democratic at all about Wikipedia in it's current state, it's an ultra authoritative website that is got to be smothering the heck out of thousands of small time webmaster offering better content or products, and worse with unfinished articles and doorway pages. I miss the days when Google serps seemed to favor the little guy, I found so many awesome family run info and ecommerce websites back then. At 279 million indexed pages, perhaps wiki should start up it's own search engine, as the problem it's causing is only going to get worse.
