This attitude reminds me of someone who contacted me for a job lately. I turned him down after checking out the sites he redesigned that were full of validation errors, deprecated code and inadequate use of CSS. What was his response when I pointed it out? WHAT? I'm not wasting my time with that!
I had a positive experience with Google Adsense the other day after reporting a site breaking several of their rules and at the same time damaging a client's keyword rank. They wrote back and told me they appreciated all the report(S) I've been sending in lately and they would look into that one shortly, i.e., they not only are reading the reports they remembered that I had sent in several. It usually takes a week but the sites I report are either removed from Google's index or their effect on my client is removed so while they usually don't send a personal reply that doesn't mean they aren't working behind the scenes on our behalf. Stop telling people to "check their sites" like they don't know what they are doing. People are sick and tired of hearing it when the site in question has ranked high for years and its not "bad coding".
