I see it even on the first page when I have my preferences set to 100 resultes/page (my normal setting). When I change to 10 results/page I don't see it any more. Also, if I do a search from the google toolbar (Firefox) I don't see the num even though it still shows me 100 results; however, it does have sourceid=mozclient in the referrer field of the log entry. It doesn't put that in when I do a search using the box on the google home page. It looks like a little bit of log analysis would show which entires in the log file are safe for finding the SERP position.
