the ip of the website is not the ip you'd be worried about, it would be google's spider IP and delivering different content to them is a no-no
Good point, I should've thought about that. Ok, can you elaborate on checking for referrer? If we simply tell our web site to NOT RETURN html (or return something different) then couldn't we solve the problem? Would Google even know that we are "cloaking" and would it penalize for this if it is directed at certain IPs but not Google's?
