Thank you for your reply. Even though duplicate content should not be an issue, I will hunt down that IP address for that duplicate content check bot (if anyone can point it out that would be great).

Did that other bot happen to use Mozilla in it's user-agent string as well as Googlebot - I did notice some request, which looked legit over the course of the year that used Googlebot, but also Mozilla - like one or 2 sessions every 2 months or something.
