Well, a dozen or so might not make much difference (depending on PR of the linking pages, I guess), I'm waiting for the update following this one to see the difference a hundred+ new and changed links will make.

We're an educational department that had hundreds of links pointing to an old site. The old site was run by a volunteer who moved away and has since not been cooperative in making changes / placing redirects. So, I've had to contact the webmasters individually and ask them to update. Fun!

The worst part is waiting for two Google updates. ;-)
