One dodgy link shouldn't affect anything. And if the pages are somewhat related ("schools" in the page title or a head tag, mentioned somewhere close to the link, etc., on both pages) it might actually be a good one.

In this site's case it might actually be coming up in the world -- from a gray bar "not rated" to a PR<1 "slightly rated."

Many folks believe -- and it does look like -- that the Google toolbar rounds PR down. An actual PR 5.4 would show as PR5. Similarly, PR.2 shows as PR0.
