---- Targeting single keywords in Google

Occasionally it is possible to be "over focused" in your search, thereby passing up sites providing tremendous resources.
My single keywords are the most obvious, and easiest for the searcher to find my site.
Example: Majority of people look for "CD's" as opposed to something quirky such as "Sony CD products". Focused yes, but useless if you're trying to find "the Rolling Stones" who have never recorded with SONY.

This is what I'm trying to overcome.
