---- PR0, why?

I am trying to work out why I have been given a PRO in last two updates.

It stuck me that
1 I have recently paid for a keyword with <snip> search engine. I checked just now and Probot which has a PRO. Could this be damaging me in Googles eyes?
I note that <snip> has a lot of pages indexed by Google.
Is Probot considered a link farm/bad neighbourhood?

2 I have been also started recently providing several links to <snip> on internal pages. These generate popups for site visitors and effectively boost my traffic. However if this going to give me "negative points/penalty" from Google then I'll dump them quickly.

Help would be appreciated
Tony
