I believe it hurts a site a lot though to have the site redirect from the home page like that...it makes no sense at all to me.

Yeah I agree, it's not the best approach from an seo/PageRank standpoint. We could assume, then, that either they have other priorities in mind or that they need some seo help...

(And yeah, I knew about being able to edit. But since I was going to write another post anyway, it seemed that it'd leave the thread more easy to follow for anyone reading it if I didn't remove what you'd commented on... and it seemed like a more interesting approach!)
