Once your re-designed (previously indexed) pages get crawled by Google - it should reassess the on-page factors and you should see changes in ranking accordingly.

New inbound may take several months to show effect.

As an example - I had a page that was ranked #3 for a search phrase - I rewrote the title tag and changed a couple of sentences of content and two days later it had a fresh tag and has ranked #1 ever since.
