On a more serious note, this is a pretty good lesson for webmasters and google alike. For google, they might take the removing of sites more seriously as thousands of sites have vanished just like theirs. Unfortunately for the "regular" site owner, they have to send the email into space/google and get a canned response.

Remeber when microsoft was gone? Think if it was another company google would have helped em out? Like joes bait shop?

For webmasters, it reminds many that strange things can happen. Don't assume that because you rant and rave about your wonderful site, with it's "clean" SEO and unique content, that google won't lose you one day. I have seen some pretty strong sites go away recently.
