Hi Bignet, are you saying that 'Google English' hasn't ever been available to general surfers - (except through an IP address?)

I've found 3 IP addresses by pinging www.google.co.uk that actually return Google English.

I'm just wondering if Google is turning off geographical searches, and making them language searches - this could be bad news for folks in the English speaking world trying to target their own country only.

(The ramifications, of course, could extend into many other regions / languages. So apologies for my anglocentric approach, I'm merely speaking about the particular UK / USA / Australia / Canada case I understand.)

Froogle, of course, is not capable of rolling out in the UK. But if UK searches are dispensed with, and turned into 'English' searches it will then be available. Hard to see, though, a UK surfer getting a bargain by buying from across the Atlantic - and vice versa.
