Could be a big threat to G. Lets say MS, with their new Longhorn OS in 2006, treats the Internet as just another Folder on your hard disk, lets say it scans every document, e-mail, url, to determine your "interests". It could serve up Amazon style "My Internet" pages ready and waiting in real time. How many newbies are going to launch google if Microsoft have a handy icon in their tray with all the answers.

Then with their $billions they could steal all G's publishers with higher ppc - until they had a monoply of course. After G is wiped out its back to MS stagnation again.
