What I mean GG is that if the entire index ever was hosed big time, I have my doubts that the top dogs at the Googleplex would appreciate you pointing out Google was seriously broken. *Not* that I am suggest that necessarily this is the case with this index. Looks to me like it is a work in progress still. And, while at the moment it looks significantly worse than usual for Google, nothing I'd expect would result in people switching to Alltheweb and ask.com in large numbers.

And, there is all the wondering here about data such as backlinks, anchor text, etc. that you say will be added in some unspecified time after the dance is over. Before once the dance was over, that was it until next month's update. If something isn't broke at Google, then the way updates are done is drastically changing.
