A lot of what you are seeing as condescention, might just be good advice with a little attitude getting thrown back at those that are showing a lot of attitude in their complaints.

Instead of being bothered by it, you might be able to learn from it.

BTW, I haven't seen anyone disagree with you that Google is too large. I think we would all love it if the other companies would get their act together and provide reasonable competition.
