Hi mate,
its always a good idea to post your sites URL so that we can take a look at it...
With regards to the DMOZ listing i have found that if your site is good enough - not how fancy it looks - but has REAL content , you will get listed in the directory..
Just make sure you pick the category that BEST suits your site and wait a couple of weeks...
