Being a founding charter member of the "I hate frames fan club" going back to Netscape 2, I'm not the one to ask on this issue. It sounds good in theory, but those engines that do index frames are going to snoop down into your site anyway. You'd have to figure out some cloaking for those. At current Excite is the only known engine to index frame sets. Inktomi DOES read them and do "whatever" with the data (they don't list it in an engine anywhere that I know about).

All I can say is that I've tried what you suggested (no frames text) and it never worked well at all.
