The 5 pages per day per domain safe limit incorporates both doorway pages and actual content. For example 3 actual content and 2 doorway pages.

I tend to favor making doorway pages that are part of the actual site content. In other words make each and every page as if it were a doorway as well as integrating the pages into your actual content. Use descriptive titles, heading tags etc. just as you would a doorway page.

Make sure all the pages in the domain link to each other (preferably a text descriptive link <a href="domain.com/ yellow_widgets.html"> Yellow widgets </a> ).
