.tv are they worthwhile?

Do any of you think that a .tv name will be in any favorable for web tv?

Currently this is just kicking off but I can see a future explosion in it's use.

Possible future trends possible directories of web tv friendly sites etc. Specific web tv search engines etc.

I think this new tv accessed market is going to dwarf anything we see at the minute. Not based on any industry reports, just gut instict. The easier you make it the more people will use it.

That is the benefit I see in .tv Nothing to do with tv stations.

To tell you the truth I am not too clued up technically on web tv. Not too clued up technically on anything to tell you the truth. :)

Just a self taught home site webmaster pulling a few hundred thousand impressions a month.

Any industry experts out there with any further views on .tv?

Possibly not the right forum but is there any guidance anywhere for designing a site to be web tv friendly? Does it place restictions?

I plan to go to a tv shop and look at my own site through web tv. Perhaps others should do the same.
