I have my main .COM domain registered also registered in .COM.CN, CO.UK, and .FR. The purpose was originally related to some possibilities with ventures in these countries, but also to prevent squatting on our brand name.
However, those partnerships never materialized, and the only reason left to keep renewing them at this time is the anti-squatting factor.
My feeling is that it is probably an unnecessary expenditure. Does anyone have any insight on the value of this?
