As domain speculation goes I expect unlimited gTLDs will prove to be a bonanza for ICANN and its bureaucrats and a boondoggle for every other entity clamoring to gain control of a domain.
Cornerning a market, by cornering a domain, has already proven an idea lacking in substance or sustainability. So, let Google and Amazon fight it out and let publishers fire and blast away. Once again history will prove that it's not the domain, stupid, it's the quality and utility of the content at the address that matters.
