The Ireland.com domain has been sold by the Irish Times as part of a deal to Tourism Ireland (a government backed tourism organisation) for 495K Euro.

Now if the Irish Times can only find a buyer for myhome.ie, the property portal for which it paid over 50 million Euro at the peak of the property bubble... :)
