Most of the top .co.uk domains that I'm interested in (and I've looked at hundreds) are owned by a domain speculating company in Turkey - hardly an EU country despite the efforts of certain misguided politicians. Yet if a UK company owns one and Nominet find that they cannot contact them at the address in the Whois they cancel the registration - they are seriously eccentric. So, they bring out this new TLD at more than ten times the price open to UK businesses only, making the Goog look like philanthropists in comparison. I'll still buy as many as I can though, this is business after all. Remember the days when a dotcom was £65 a year? We still made money out of them even at that price and the web was a much cleaner place until cheap domains allowed spammers free reign.
