All the entities using ccTLDs as an integral part of their branding appear a bit wanting. Wanting to be cutesy. Wanting to really have a better domain.
I somewhat suspect that the emergence of the 100s of new TLDs plus the plethora of ccTLDs and attempt to make them mean something more than "this county" will have the eventual effect of only making .Com and .Org more . . . more everything a company or brand really wants. YMMV, on a (very limited) case by case basis.
