After reading this thread [webmasterworld.com] I went searching for more details. Horror stories about GoDaddy are depressingly easy to find.

I moved all my domains from them after reading a few articles about how the place is managed (there will always be dissatisfied customers). I hadn't had any problems but didn't consider a few $ saving worth the higher risk to my domains.

<edit>P.S. I'm a web developer, not a domainer, so don't have a huge number of domains. (although probably still too many :) )</edit>
