In the domainer world discussion has focused on the volume of dot-com-typo traffic that may spillover from people accidently typing Example.co when they meant to type Example.com.
Not my gig. I see ccTLDs as being of value for what they were intended: to connect a site/topic to a specific nation.
Not for SEO purposes either, though some (many?) swear there are benefits to keyword.ccTLD that help in the SERPs war against established dot com domains.
