Recently we moved our dedicated server to a vps, and now we're having some email issues. Some emails return to us with a "Invalid or No PTR record" message.
Who do we go after to have this fixed? Everywhere I read it says to contact your ISP, what does our isp have to do with this?
When I check ptr records they show as xx-xx-xx-xx.managemyvps.com (xx is our ip), i tried calling dotser (our vps company) and they don't want to do anything. We can control our domain.com but we have no control over managemyvps.com.
We are using mailanable on our server.
We are not using dns on the server, dns is handled by easy dns dot com.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
