Some of these new gTLDs will fail and some will succeed. The main problem for these gTLDs is not to convince domainers to buy the domains in their Sunrise and auctions but rather to convince end users to actually use and develop content in these gTLDs. I doubt that many of them will be successful. For me, it just means more gTLDs to track, more zonefile access agreements to be filled out, more harddrives to buy and more DVDs for backup.
