Let's assume I have widget.com and example.com. I want to move widget.com to the same hosting plan with example.com

My problem is that when I created addon domain for widget.com what I got was widget.example.com. I wan't asked to point widget.com to the new hosting servers or anything. So that's not the really widget.com, it's just a subdomain, right?

I asked them about this, but they pointed me to the addon tutorial.

Could you at least tell me if what I described is the way that all addon domains work?
