If you already have a pre-owned domain name, you can link it to your site by first contacting the company with whom you registered your domain and providing the following domain server information: Primary Hostname: widget1.example.com What exactly am I supposed to do in Godaddy in order to do this? I've tried everything, and nothing works. Can anyone offer me some advice? I would really appreciate it. Godaddy isn't helpful at ALL. I just get a canned response. I run my own VPS, and have set up 3 websites on it w/no problem (and all of my domain names are registered w/Godaddy, except for one). But I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do in this case. I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place or not, but I hope that I am. My stepdad is trying to point his domain name to a third party host. He signed up for some wholesale thing, and the company hosts the website, but he has to point his domain name to their servers. His domain name is registered at Godaddy. The wholesale company sent him an email stating the following:
IP Address: xx.xx.x.29
Secondary Hostname: widget2.example.com
IP Address: xx.xx.x.30
