If domains of the quality of your examples are still available under your country's TLD, I think you need to ask yourself why that might be.

From experience, every time a new TLD opens up the "best" domains are gone within a period of a few hours to a few days.

For example, .sg (Singapore) domains were liberalised on January 6th. By now, you'd be hard-pressed to find a "Top 1000" quality domain left. And that's for a what is really a very small country and hence a small potential market (no offense to Singaporeans intended) with a semi-complex registration process.
