IP based is definitely the best method if you know what you are doing. You do have to keep up on things and it can take some time to put together a bulletproof list of IPs.

The benefits of UA/nocache cloaking is that it is fairly simple to setup and maintain. However, like the previous poster mentioned, most SEOs will just surf as a UA and find out what you are up to.
