i'm not an expert cloaker but i believe a simple definition of cloaking is serving pages based on the user agent, or more accurately the ip address, of the machine requesting the page.

this means that google, inktomi, fast and of course humans are all served different pages, each optimised for the individual requestor.

hope this makes sense.
