I did a bit of googling (which I should have done first) and there is a free WHM addon LogView and a proprietary ($199) mail access monitor which looks nice and does a lot more.

LogView is quick and easy, but just a listing of last 30 or so log lines - I can't see how you can get it to pull up a date range, and I suspect you can't.
