I am looking to create a simple website with 100 - 300 skus. It will most likely not have a shopping cart.

I would like a way to update catalog and product pages. I have an even smaller site currently that is static html and it is a bit of pain to add items.

OSCommerce could do the trick, but it looks like a bit of pain to customize the look feel etc.

Is there a simple content management system out there that could work well with a primarily static based website.

I am happy to use mysql php, perl whatever. I just dont' want the solution to take over the entire site like Miva or OScommerce seem to.
