Today had a very strange phone conversation with PayPal.
Earlier this month I received an email from PP telling me: Activate your new card when it arrives.
(Was sick and didn't see this email til today.)
Today received email from PP telling me that
card was mailed to primary address and should be activated now.
My card is not due to expire for another 10 months, so, logged into account directly from PP (not from an email link) which shows a box to "Activate Now" and indicates (Replacement requested) next to my card #.
Called PP because I never requested a new card and their rep tells me that I got these emails because PP is changing banks from Chase to some other bank and that I should activate the new card when it arrives in 3-4 weeks.
But wait, didn't they tell me the card was already mailed? He ignores this and tells me that some customers are "getting confused" about the emails and ... My meter for being patronized snaps!
So, if I do get a new card I guess I'll activate it then.
PP manages to dim their value yet again.
