I personally think this is a good move.

It's something, but I think ending the monopoly on first class mail and "non-urgent" parcel delivery would be a better move. I would love to pay for mail service twice a week instead of five.

Parcel delivery shouldn't subsidize first class mail delivery. It's time to recognize that the cost to transport a letter 400 miles north of the nearest distribution point or to Guam is much more expensive than delivering a package in Manhattan, and adjust prices accordingly.
