My first question would be, do you need to upgrade to the latest version of Zen Cart?

I think you could programmatically create all of the 301 redirects quicker than trying to do it all by hand.

Personally, if I had to upgrade then I would pay the $800 to stay on the same platform then switching around and possibly loosing income and or rankings.
