I use flat-rate shipping of a certain class of widgets I sell. People do like it and tend to buy more. The only problem is making them aware of it. I have it as an option in the shopping art, as a line over the shipping choices, on the index page of the class of widgets, on the main page, and still people will choose the other, more expensive option that is for heavier, bulkier widgets.
