I would imagine that's it. The registration thing is tough, because 1. pay content is much more rare now days. Most people use the advertising model and the public is use to getting everything free. 2. It's a problem as to how you can show what they will be getting, without giving the farm away. So I would think that word of mouth probably plays a big role. And that would take a good amount of time to start happening. The other guys probably have a head start.
