Here are the best numbers I can give.

In the past month social networking has accounted for about 5% of our overall sales and 3% of our traffic. Compared to Search, Affiliate Program, PPC, etc. this seems like a small number BUT Social Networking has been a win for us because:

1. It's free, so the ROI is impressive.
2. Twitter is connected with our Facebook page so updates are automatic. Same goes for Myspace and our Wordpress blog. I can update one and it updates them all if I choose. Between Facebook, Myspace, & Twitter we have about 17,000 fans.
3. I Can Twitter & Facebook from my Blackberry.
4. It's a great networking tool.
5. It's a great customer support tool.
6. It drives in new customers and new traffic within our demographic.
6. I am a young, 20 something and would be doing it anyways.

Not bad for 5-10 minutes/day.
