And I thought that was what our economy is about: You pass off your costs to the consumer and add something on top to make a living. If someone wants to use his credit card for payment he should pay for it himself. The whole 30 cents + 3%. Or whatever. If surcharges are not allowed I as a customer have to pay part of other customers charges although I hardly ever use my credit card for payment but prefer bank-transfer, direct debit and cash. I booked a flight today here in Europe where the credit card companies where forced to allow surcharges a few years ago. If I had used my credit card I would have had to pay 9 EUR more. So I payed direct debit - which was without surcharges.
