Hello -

we use for our clients OXID eShop, MySQL PHP ZEND encoded.

why a partly open source ?

- good support

- fast (migrates up to mysql cluster one amoung some other reasons to run zend)

- lanugages- we have one customer which runs the programm in ! 15 Languages, among then, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, French (everybody knows how picky these guys can be about the correct use of the french language :-), german, ungarian, czech, danish, spanish, etc.

- additional build in sales support services to enable additional sales

- shipping calculations on zip code level (globaly)

ok its a payed solution, and the licence area is encoded, and no source available, but if a customer realy want to make money - the littel price is not showstopper since the sales support tools are convincing - and we as well dont work for free, so our prices are higher then the licence.
