Hello guys,

Working on starting an online shop within a few months and looking for the perfect shopping cart software available. I have some requirements, though.

Of course the HTML/CSS/Javascript should be modern, using semantic markup, clean URL's, created with issues such as duplicate content in mind, etc.. SEO-friendly in other words.. Each product should have 1 main URL.

The software must be able to run on Linux, so PHP/MySQL is the best combination.. The code must be available, so you can make changes if you want to.. There will always be unwanted behavior.. And naturally, the code needs to be clean and written in a maintainable way, not spaghetti.

Price really isn't that important.. Anyone tested the new open source project called Magento Commerce? It looks really nice but my first impression is that it was crazy slow (1-3sec to load each page), but hopefully they are working on this issue..

Affiliate is a feature that is heavily needed, but I can create it on my own if necessary.. Seems unlikely to find some software that can handle all of this..

So any thoughts?
