Page is a not externally linkable

In my case, the Javascript date thing was removed a few months ago from the top of our front page. And it just occurred to me that no one's emailed asking what date today is. What's in YOUR wastebasket?
The front page is only so big, especially "above the fold." How many trust thingies can a shopping cart hold? What clutter have you removed from your site lately?
