Using PayPal as a last resort because you can't qualify for a merchant account is preposterous. I would wager that most sellers who use PayPal do so because of the expense (initial and on-going) of the average credit card processor. It is a giant rip off.
Since PayPal stopped requiring membership, I have had very few problems.
