Selling a big ticket item (as I do), it is important from an inventory management point of view that 75% of my sales come from 25% of the products I sell. What order do you display your products in? lowest price to highest? The opposite? Are you concerned about sticker shock? What works for you?
Coming from a traditional retail background, I realize that the success of a particular item in the store is dependent on a host of factors, however where that product is placed in the store is paramount. Back in my other life as a brick and mortar retailer, we used this simple concept to strategically place the products we wanted to sell on the sweet spots on the floor. I am struggling to aquire this skill in the e-comm world.
